Many people assume that the promises of God apply to them because they’re a good person by their own standards. On the other hand, many people who trust in God and hope in his promises still labor as if it’s up to them to see them fulfilled. Both perspectives show a misunderstanding about the way that God’s promises work in our life. Thankfully, Genesis 15:1-21 shows us how we can have God’s promises work in our life and understand the way his promises work.
