What we believe affects how we live. And the decisions we make in difficult circumstances show what we really believe. In Genesis 23, Abraham faces a difficult decision and shows us what living by faith in God’s promises is really like. If we’ve trusted in Jesus and believe God’s promises, what Abraham does should be reflected in our lives. It can also be used to help gauge our own faith in God’s promises.
