There are moments in life that when we see it happen, we know it’s terrible, and we’re never going to forget it. When Jesus is crucified, we can be sure that those who loved him and saw it were never going to forget it, either. Amazingly, what happens through Jesus’ crucifixion in the physical realm actually reflects what he accomplishes in the spiritual realm through it. Seeing those connections and the benefit his crucifixion brings, from John 19:16b-27, will hopefully help us lay hold of those benefits and appreciate his crucifixion in new ways.
