The book of Genesis shows us mankind’s rebellion from God over and over again. From the Garden of Eden to the Tower of Babel, generation after generation rebels from God and attempts to take his place. That’s why it’s all the more surprising to hear God’s promise to bless the undeserving world in Genesis 12:1-20. God’s promise doesn’t reward mankind for rebelling, but provides a salvation to rescue mankind. God’s promise to bless the undeserving world shows us God’s greatness and mankind’s great need of him.
