None of us like seeing a fight that’s unfair, where someone bigger fights someone smaller. But that’s what we see in Matthew 2:13-18, when King Herod seeks Jesus as a child to destroy him. But we find in the account that the fight is unfair for another reason. It’s unfair because Herod is attempting to fight against God. And he can’t win. He loses. And in the end, so will everyone who fights against God, his Anointed and his people.
