When babies are born, people often celebrate by giving gifts to the baby that anticipate what the child’s life is going to be like. When Jesus came into the world, he was no exception. The honor he received anticipates the way he should be worshiped and the gifts he received anticipate the sacrifice he would make with his life. Matthew 2:1-12 gives us insights into all of this by the way Jesus is worshiped.
