When we throw parties and give gifts, we tend to save the best for last. That tendency actually reflects God’s work in creation. Each day built on the previous, and his final work of creation on the sixth day–before his rest on the seventh–was the creation of mankind. The time and way God created mankind shows he saved the best for last. Our study in Genesis 1:26-2:3 shows more of the goodness of God in the way he created man and it shows us how to live in light of his goodness.
