All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We invest in the lives of others locally and globally so that we may share Christ with them and lead them to saving faith in him. There are two ways to be involved in Missions at Cornerstone:
- International Missions – We currently partner prayerfully and financially with three missionaries and their families who are serving Jesus, serving in Peru, Indonesia, and Internationals living in the Austin Metro. We participate in international mission trips all over the world.
- Local Missions – We serve our community in various ways during the year to foster relationships in order to help share Jesus with others. For families and kids, we host Parent’s Night Out, Kid’s Day Camp, and sno-cone giveaways in hot summer months. For schools and teachers, we provide supply kits, meals, coffee and treats. We also serve as mentors for at-risk students, meet needs through the Blue Santa program, and volunteer at school-wide events such as holiday block parties and book fairs. For first responders, we have provided food and collected comfort items for children they encounter in traumatic situations. We volunteer for and support local ministries who provide classes for ESL, plumbing, electrician apprentice training, and more. It is a joy to show love and share Christ in our community.
