LEAD PASTOR TRANSITION
Cornerstone is prayerfully searching for our next Lead Pastor. The Pastor Search Committee is meeting regularly. Members of this committee need your prayer and support. They are: Jon Andrews, Jon Burris, Jeevan Chemalmudi, Natalie Gumpl, Chad Morris, Jo Ann Osborne, Anna Robertson, and Doug Shuffield. Feel free to contact the Elder team or any of the staff with prayer requests, questions, concerns, or words of encouragement.
Cornerstone Community Church is led by a group of elders. This type of church leadership is modeled after the New Testament church. According to 1 Peter 5:2-3, elders are called to care for God’s people and lead them. Currently serving Cornerstone as elders are Jonathan Andrews, Nate Connor, Marty Reed, and Doug Shuffield. They can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT CORNERSTONE
We gather every Sunday morning in the open air pavilion at beautiful Kindred Oaks for a time of authentic worship and foundational, practical, applicable Bible teaching. Your children will love their time in KidZone! On Sunday afternoons, we offer Bible Study for middle school/high school students. Connect Groups for adults meet on Sunday evenings. More on these ministries below:
KIDZONE (Preschool - 5th Grade)
In our KidZone ministry, we work to build a strong, Gospel-centered foundation for our children. We do this by teaching them about the nature and character of God - that He is wise, generous, loving, and good. Our hope is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children. We have a great time singing, dancing, playing games, and learning about the Bible. KidZone is open during the 10:00 AM worship service on Sunday mornings. Email email@example.com for more information.
CORNERSTONE STUDENTS (6th - 12th Grade)
Students meet on Sundays from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Middle School students meet with Pastor Nate and Student Leader Isabelle Gilmore. High School students meet with Student Leaders Mitch & Natalie Gumpl. We aim to help students grow in their faith and personal relationships with God through studying the Bible together in a weekly small group environment. Student small groups are a great mix of adult-led Bible study, social activity, accountability, and fun. Come hang out with us! If you have any questions or need help finding transportation for your student, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
CONNECT GROUPS (Adults)
Did you know one of the best ways to grow spiritually is by engaging in a small group? We were created for connection and community. Joining a Connect Group may be the perfect next step for you. Meet close to home, build meaningful relationships, support one another through life's ups and downs, and be challenged to take your next step in your relationship with Jesus. We have a variety of Connect Groups available on Sunday evenings as well as short term studies and classes on topics such as marriage and parenting. Email email@example.com for more information.
